Urban County Program on behalf of Precinct No. 1 is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with Castle Enterprises, LLC for a street improvement project (Saenz Avenue) located within Precinct 1 area. Total contract amount $222,724.05 utilizing Precinct No. 1 FYs 20, 21, 22 & 23 (2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010) street improvements funds.
BACKGROUND
Precinct No. 1 has requested and received bids for the street improvements project (Saenz Avenue). TEDSI Infrastructure Group, Inc. prepared specification packages and bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County – Purchasing Department on May 22, 2013. After review the project engineer recommended Castle Enterprises, LLC as the lowest of three (3) qualified bidders. (See attached recommendation letter from TEDSI Infrastructure Group, Inc. and copy of bid tabulations.)
