Requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of La Villa to its Urban County Program FYs’16, 18, 24 & 25 (2003, 2005, 2011 & 2012) work plans. The amendment will add the following project description: construction of a belt filter press and an aerobic digester at the wastewater treatment plant; delete the ED Direct financial Assistance activity by $225,000.00 and create a Water/Sewer Improvements activity in the amount of $225,000.00 for FY 25 (2012).

A Public Hearing was held on May 21, 2013, at 6:30 P.M. and citizen participation requirements have been met. The City of La Villa approved a budget and program amendment for FYs’16, 18, 24 & 25 (2003, 2005, 2011 & 2012):

The proposed amendment will add the following project description:

Project consists of the construction of a belt filter press, at the wastewater treatment plant. The belt filter press will perform dewatering of solids that the existing sludge drying beds currently provide, plus provide additional solids dewatering capacity for the proposed treatment expansion. Additionally, the construction of an aerobic digester at the wastewater treatment plant which will allow the solids to be conditioned and thickened appropriately for processing by the belt filter press. Project will also include but not limited to engineering professional service fees, advertisements and any other related appurtenances as it may pertain to the project’s completion.

The proposed amendment will delete:
The Economic Development Direct Financial Assistance line item by $225,000.00

The proposed amendment will create:
A Water/Sewer Improvements in the amount of $225,000.00
