 Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Alamo is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a requirements agreement for purchase of materials with Upper Valley Materials, LLC for the purchase of Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete and delivery service on a force account Street Improvements project in the amount of $75.00 per ton. It is estimated that 190 tons will be required for this project for a total of $14,250.00 utilizing UCP - City of Alamo Street Improvement funds FY 25 (2012).

BACKGROUND

 The Urban County Program requested and received a sole bid for materials for the City of Alamo – Street Improvement project. Quintanilla, Headley and Associates, Inc. prepared the specification packages. Bid was received and opened at the Hidalgo County – Purchasing Department on April 30, 2014. After review the project engineer recommended Upper Valley Materials, LLC as the sole qualified bidder. (See attached recommendation letter from Quintanilla, Headley and Associates, Inc. and a copy of the bid tabulation sheet).
