Discussion, Consideration and Approval to renew Inter-local Agreement between Hidalgo County and the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) for the provision of equipment and consumables related to the Automated Registration and title System (RTS) maintained by the TxDMV.
BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County has had an inter-local agreement with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles formerly the Texas Department of Transportation since November 13, 1995. The county currently has one hundred and one (101) RTS workstations. Seventy five (75) RTS systems are part of the fair share program and covered at the state’s expense. Hidalgo County is currently leasing fifteen (15) RTS workstations. Full Service Deputy BridgePoint Insurance Agency & Permit Center is also currently sub-leasing eleven (11) RTS workstations thus bringing the total to (26) leased systems in Hidalgo County. Each system is noted on the county equipment list (Attachment F).
