Requesting approval of Resolution authorizing to advertise for construction and related activities for all projects identified in all the Urban County Program One Year Action Plan, Amendments and State funded projects (Texas General Land Office (GLO), Texas Department Agriculture (TDA), and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA).    

Annually the Urban County Program submits the Hidalgo County One Year Plan to HUD after receiving Commissioner’s Court Approval. The Submitted plans outline the intended use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Texas General Land Office (GLO), Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), and Colonia Self-Help Center Program (SHC) funds administered by the Urban County Program. The plans further define the specific projects to be implemented in terms of scope, location and budget availability. In an effort to expedite fund expenditures, the Urban County Program is seeking authorization to advertise for the required services to implement these programs in order to eliminate repetitive agendas item’s pertaining to the plan and to shorten the administrative process for their implementation.
