1. Requesting consideration for approval of the Resolution and submittal of the Hidalgo County Urban County Program FY 2026 Annual Action Plan proposed use of funds for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) - CDBG, HOME and ESG Programs, for the period of July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027.
2. Requesting authorization for County Judge Richard F. Cortez to sign any and all documents related to FY 2026 Annual Action Plan.

HUD requires local jurisdictions to develop and submit an Annual Action Plan in order to access the funding. The AAP outlines the projects that will be undertaken with the HUD program funds and to meet the objectives set forth in the FY 2023-2027 Consolidated Plan and Strategy.  The AAP was made available for public review at the Urban County Program office, all city and precinct offices, and county website for a thirty (30) day comment period beginning on March 18, 2026 and ending on April 18, 2026.   There were no comments received.
