Discussion, consideration, and approval, subject to compliance with HB 1295, for the Urban County Program to award and enter into a construction contract with The 5125 Company, the lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of $1,222,222.00, utilizing funds awarded to Hidalgo County by the Texas General Land Office (GLO) under Contract No. 25-144-001-F193 for the 2018 South Texas Floods CDBG-DR funding.

BACKGROUND

  1. The bid opening was held on April 22, 2026 and the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was The 5125 Company. Contract includes the award of Base Bid, Alternate #2 and Alternate #3. Please see attached letter of recommendation by HCDD#1, project engineers and contractor’s general liability insurance.
