Discussion and approval of Memorandum of Understanding for Placement of Naloxone Vending Machine at Hidalgo County Clinic Locations

In support of the joint efforts between Hidalgo County and Corazon Ministries to increase access to naloxone and strengthen opioid overdose prevention initiatives within the community, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Be Well Institute (Be Well) proposes to provide a naloxone vending machine to Hidalgo County and Corazon Ministries. Through this MOU, Hidalgo County will allow the placement of the vending machines on County property to improve community access to life-saving overdose reversal medication and support ongoing public health outreach and harm reduction efforts.
