Presentation for discussion, consideration, direction and action including, but not limited to, the following items in connection with the procurement of the Food Service Equipment for the new "Judge Mario E. Ramirez, Jr. Juvenile Justice Center":
1. Authority to purchase items quoted (and as attached hereto) by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) / Institutional Division (Texas Correctional Industries -TCI) - - Subject to funding.
2. Authority to purchase items (as attached hereto) quoted from Kitchen Resources, L.P. (awarded vendor) through Hidalgo County (Head Start Program's) membership/particpantion of Region One Education Service Center -South Texas Cooperative or in the alternative. - Subject to funding.
3. Requesting authority to advertise and approval of specifications (as attached hereto as drafted through project architect and Juvenile Probation Departmen) for: Hidalgo County -Judge Mario E. Ramirez, Jr. Juvenile Justice Center -Food Service Equipment" RFB. (2006-314-MSS)
BACKGROUND
Project Architect is recommending that the purchase of these items be made as soon as posible in order to receive all merchandise on a timely basis so as to utilize General Contractor and Sub-Contractors for the installation while construction is on going.
