The Urban County Program is requesting approval of a best and final negotiated professional architectural service contract with VA Architecture in the amount of $ 18,000.00 utilizing Year 21 (2008) funds for a Public Facility Improvements Project (Rehabilitation of the Weslaco Library Computer Learning Commons) within the City of Weslaco.
BACKGROUND
The City of Weslaco requested authorization to negotiate a professional architectural service contract with VA Architecture for the Public Facility Improvements. A best and final offer was submitted by VA Architecture in the amount of $18,000.00. The improvements will allow for the rehabilitation of the Weslaco Library Computer Learning Commons. See attached scope of services.

Funds Available: $ 174,852.00 ( 2008- FY 21) Public Facility Improvements
