Approval of a Proclamation declaring June 2009 Home Ownership Month within the County of Hidalgo.
BACKGROUND
In observation of National Homeownership Month and in order to raise public awareness on how to become a homeowner, the Urban County Program is requesting approval to declare June 2009 Homeownership Month within the County of Hidalgo.
The UCP would also like to announce that Affordable Homes of South Texas Inc. (AHSTI), in conjunction with the City of McAllen, is sponsoring their 11th Annual Homebuyer’s Fair that will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the McAllen Convention Center from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This fair is free to the public. If anyone would like additional information on the Homebuyer’s Fair, they may contact the Urban County Program at 956-787-8127 and/or AHSTI at 956-687-6263.
