The Urban County Program is requesting approval and award of contract to G.A.S. Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of $89,598.00 for the Public Facility Improvement (Library) project in the City of Weslaco, utilizing Year 21 (2008) funds. The project consists of the rehabilitation of the old museum and convert it into a library computer commons area and expansion of the Weslaco Public Library.

The Urban County Program along with the City of Weslaco has requested bids; and the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department received bids for the Public Facility Improvement (Library) project.  VA Architecture, is the project architect and recommends G.A.S. Enterprises, Inc., as the lowest qualified bidder.  (See attached recommendation letter which includes bid tabulation from VA Architects.)
