Approval of updating and reappointment of Mr. Pete De La Cruz to coordinate compliance for the Urban County Program regarding nondiscrimination requirements contained in the Department of HUD’s regulations implementing Section 504 and designated as Fair Housing, Equal Opportunity Standards, and Labor Standard Officer for all Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Texas Department of Rural Affairs (TDRA) and Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) projects.

As required by the HUD and the State of Texas, the County of Hidalgo is reappointing an employee of the County to comply that the County does not discriminate on the basis of handicap status in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment, in its federally assisted program activities. Therefore, Pete De La Cruz has been recommended as the designated employee for the HUD, TDRA, and TDHCA agencies. Please be advised that the Office of Rural Community Affairs (ORCA) name has changed to the Texas Department of Rural Affairs (TDRA).  Appointment and Designation Forms are attached.
