1. Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements under the Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(4) for Professional Engineering services testing.

2. Presentation of the scoring grid of at least three (3) engineering firms from the County’s approved “pool” as graded and evaluated by UCP Home Staff for the purposes of ranking by Commissioners' Court in connection with and Urban County Program Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation project for materials testing.

3. Authority to negotiate a one (1) year professional engineering service contract with the No. 1 ranked firm ______________________ for the provision of materials testing.

Urban County Program HOME Staff has rated three engineering service firms from the County’s approved “pool”.  L & G Engineering Laboratory LLC, Raba Kistner Engineering & Terracon Consultants, Inc. were rated for a Housing Rehab project that requires a materials testing of site work for construction services.  In addition, due to the potential of future projects within three thousand (3,000) feet of a hazardous areas, the Urban County Program Staff is requesting a one (1) year contract for said services.
