BACKGROUND
Texas Department of Family and Protective Services does partial reimbursment to Hidalgo County for the handling of Title IV-E cases (CPS).

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The County matches 100% of all costs related to Title IV E County Child Welfare Services. However, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services will reimburse the county for part of the expenses when the county handles Title IV E cases. Actual reimbursement will be based on Eligible Population Rate (EPR) in effect for the county during the month in which expenses are incurred. The reimbursement is then receipted in a General Fund Revenue account (Acct # 0-1100-334-00-360-001-0-000).Attachments
