1.  Authorization and approval to accept the Cooperative Grant Agreement Award no. G11SS0002A between Hidalgo County and the Executive Office of the President - Office of National Drug Control Policy in the amount of $294,073.00.

2. Approval of certification of revenues, as certified by the County Auditor for the HIDTA Task Force Grant

3.  Approval of appropriation of funds for the Hidalgo County HIDTA Task Force (South Texas HIDTA McAllen Initiative) in the amount of $273,296.00  (Acct. #1-1291-412-00-270-003-0-XXX).

4.  Approval of appropriation of funds for the HIDTA Task Force South Texas Director's Administrative Support Element in the amount of $20,777.00 (Acct. #1-1291-412-00-270-016-0-XXX).

5.  Approval of salary schedules.

Consistent with Pub. L. 111-322, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2011, this document provides a total budget and spending ceiling as reflected in Block 10 of the Grant Award document, which represents funding at the rate of 42% of the fiscal year 2010 funding level.  Accordingly, the sum of all budgets cannot exceed the award amount reflected in Block 10 of the Grant Award document.  The Office of National Drug Control Policy acknowledges that the aforementioned funding level is below the stated budget requirements: however, additional funding cannot be made available until enacted through public law. 

a. Grant Amount: $294,073.00 - This amount represents 42% of the funds requested for budget year 2011. The remainder of the funds will be awarded upon the completion of the federal governments' approval of the national budget.
