Urban County Program on behalf of the Precinct No. 1 is requesting authority to enter into contract with Metro Electric, Inc. for a construction contract for the Street Improvements (Solar Light Installation) within Precinct No. 1 in the amount of $119,638.00 to include the materials and installation of solar lights within the Indian Hills #1 , Indian Hills #2 and Delta West subdivisions utilizing the Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1. UCP Year 22 (2009) Precinct No. 1 Street Improvement funds.
BACKGROUND
Bids were opened by the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on September 7, 2011. The engineering firm of TEDSI Infrastructure Group reviewed the bids and recommended that the bid be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder being Metro Electric, Inc. in the amount of $119,638.00, to include base bid and alternates 1 through 4. See attached bid tabulation for your review, along with letter of recommendation by the engineering firm.
