Urban County Program is requesting approval to officially request from the Texas Department Rural Affairs (TDRA) a Contract Period Extension for our TDRA Contract # 729055.

UCP is requesting approval of a Contract Period Extension to TDRA. The contract extension will be for a hundred (100) days. The contract period extension is being requested due to extenuating circumstances such as that we found that a sewer section of about 680 linear feet that should have connected Colonia De Anda & Saenz to a lift station was not in place and the City of Mercedes is in the process of acquiring said property for the installation of the sewer lines. Therefore, we cannot complete the sewer improvements until the property is acquired. Additionally, the installation of the additional sewer section will require that we bid the project for construction. The TDRA contract end date is November 30, 2011 and new contract end date request will be February 28, 2012.
