Presentation of sole bid received from KMBH (meeting all specifications and requirements approved by County and set forth in procurement packet) for the purpose of discussion and action in connection with the: "Delay Broadcasting and/or Recording/Taping and Delay Broadcast of Hidalgo County Commissioners Court Meetings"-RFB- No. 2011-146-12-14-YZV including the approval of contract document and identification of the option(s) contained on bid page.
BACKGROUND
PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR HCCC:
1. Hidalgo County currently holds it Commissioners Court meeting in the City of Edinburg's Chambers (which commenced on October 11, 2011) through an interlocal cooperation agreement in the amount of $946.20/per meeting with Civil Service per meeting fee of $59.20;
2. Current agreement with KMBH expires today (1-17-11) and HC pays $1,100.00 per meeting which commenced on 10-11-11); County was paying KMBH $52,000.00/year prior to move to the City of Edinburg.
3. With new bid fees, the County would pay the following:
While at the City of Edinburg facility $ 946.20/per meeting;
Delay broadcast ($500.00/per 30 minutes air time up to two (2) hours=$2,000.00
New cost for Recording and Delay Broadcast+ $2,946.20X52 weeks=$153,024.00/year
