BACKGROUND
The Delta Area Connector/East Lateral Project consists of Flood Drainage Improvements as needed in the Precinct No. 1 vicinity utilizing GLO-DR funds. Due to the scope of work and in an effort to complete the project within the contract Period (December 31, 2015) given by GLO, the project will be broken down and constructed in three sections (East Later Channel, Colonia Infrastructure Improvements I, Colonia infrastructure Improvements II); Professional Services will be procured for each section (scope of work per section to be determined upon procurement of professional services and as approved by Pct. 1). Improvements include community-level drainage infrastructure improvements to 14 colonias; improvements include storm sewer collection systems, swales, culverts and outfalls to various laterals. Additionally, the project consists of the design and construction of a major north-south channel in between Edcouch and La Villa (see attached grading grid, project description, map and contract).
