Recognition of Participants in Job Shadow Day
BACKGROUND
On January 31, 2012, Commissioners' Court approved a proclamation proclaiming February 2, 1012 as Groundhog Job Shadow Day in Hidalgo County, and also approved Hidalgo County to participate in the 2012 Job Shadow Days Program.
On Tuesday, May 22, 16 high school students from La Joya High School, McAllen Nikki Rowe High School, Mercedes High School, and Sharyland High School will be shadowing County professionals in their career field of choice. Ten students will be assigned to Commissioners' Court, and six students will be assigned to the Courthouse.
Student participants will be recognized at Commissioners' Court, and will be presented with Certificates of Participation.
Student participants' guardians have signed Business Liability Release forms and are on file at the County Executive Office.
