BACKGROUND


Mr. Valdez has been found eligible to receive assistance based on qualifying criteria set forth by both the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and UCP however, he is currently an employee of the agency through which these funds will be received. As per HUD regulation found at 24 CFR Part 92.356 (c) & (d) the Urban County Program must publicly disclose this action as a conflict of interest and request a waiver from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This action will be funded through the HOME – Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Program pending the approved waiver.
