Requesting approval of a Program Amendment for City of Mercedes Year 25 (2012) Urban County Program workplan. The proposed amendment will add sanitary sewer improvements to the already approved water/sewer improvements activity funding in the amount of $76,987.00. There will be no budgetary changes.

The proposed amendment for the City of Mercedes will add the sanitary sewer improvements to include but not limited to the installation of sewer line, a grinder pump station inside the proposed city of Mercedes –FEMA Safe Shelter site and a two to four inch PVC sanitary force main starting at the Safe Shelter site on Vermont Avenue , and going south on Vermont Avenue a distance of approximately 495 feet on Armory Drive, then east of Armory Drive a distance of approximately 848 feet to tie in to an existing manhole at Washington Avenue. A public hearing was held at the Mercedes City Hall on August 6, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. Citizen participation was met.
