The Urban County Program on behalf of the city of San Juan, is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with SDM Construction & Development, LLC for a 2012 Water/Sewer Improvements project in the amount of $260,702.50, utilizing funds from the UCP Year 25 (2012 Water/Sewer Improvements line item and city funds in the amount of $4,026.96.

BACKGROUND


The bid opening was held on July 31, 2013 and the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was SDM Construction & Development, LLC. The project involves sewer line improvements to include installation of 2,005 linear feet of 8-inch to 15-inch sanitary sewer lines, 7-4 foot long fiberglass manholes, 21 4-inch sanitary sewer service connections, repaving of streets, etc., on Lincoln Avenue (between 8th & 12thh Street) in San Juan, Texas. Please see attached letter of recommendation by the project engineer, city’s recommendation letter and contractor’s general liability insurance. Project engineer firm is Cruz-Hogan Consultants, Inc.
