BACKGROUND
10/23/2012 - AI-34857- Acceptance and approval of the Motorola Solutions Contract No. 23355.
11/12/2013-AI-41701-Acceptance and approval of the Lease-Purchase Agreement for the purpose of
amending the terms to make a onetime payment of $1,135,374.00 from funds provided
from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant facilitated by the City of McAllen on behalf of the
Hidalgo County Fire Marshal’s Office.
The Second Amendment would allow for Hidalgo County to share radio equipment with other external entities. Section 15 of the Lease Agreement requires prior written consent in order to lend the equipment or permit it to be used by anyone other than the Lessee. Amending the lease would allow for the sharing of the equipment which would include a written letter to Motorola Solutions advising them of the intent of sharing equipment and an Interlocal with the external entity to be presented and approved by Commissioners Court.
