Acceptance and approval of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Hidalgo County acting by and through its Hidalgo County Urban County Program, Precinct 4 and Hidalgo County Drainage District No.1 as it relates to the General Land Office (GLO) Contract No. 12-589-000-6887/DRS220068 for the project known as the Alberta Drain Project.

This Interlocal Agreement will ensure that Hidalgo County acting by and through the Hidalgo County Urban County Program agrees to perform through a third party construction contract, the installation of new drainage structures (inlets, manholes, junction boxes, and pipe network) for various developments north of Owassa Road along Tower Road. In addition, to the new drainage structures, a new drainage ditch will be excavated to detain and transport the storm water that is collected from the new drainage pipe network.

The Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 agrees to contribute materials with a value of $189,000.00 and the sum of $178,452.46 to Urban County Program for the award of the third party construction contract. Mr. Steve Crain prepared the interlocal agreement document and it will be approved by the Drainage District Board of Directors on November 10, 2015.
