Requesting authority to set up an escrow account of $5,000.00 for recording fees assessed by the County Clerk's Office with authority for County Treasurer to issue payment after auditing procedures are completed by the County Auditor.
BACKGROUND
On 2-1-16, the County Clerk's Office Official Records Department will be switching over to a new operating system. This system will not allow the clerks to record any documents without first obtaining payment. This will impact various county departments.
This escrow account is being set up so that the County Clerk's office may draw funds, as needed Receipts will be issued and copies will be kept by the County Clerk's Office for checks & balances in compliance with County Policy.
