Approval to sign Certification of Contract between Private, non-profit hospital and State/Local Government to provide health care services to low income individuals.
BACKGROUND
Mission Regional Medical Center is in the process of registering with HRSA (the federal government’s Health Resources and Services Administration) seeking participation in the 340B discounted drug program. As a not-for-profit, disproportionate share hospital, we are eligible to participate in the program provided we meet several additional requirements. One of them is to certify that there is a valid contract in place between MRMC and “a State or Local Government Entity” to provide health care services to low income individuals who are not entitled to Medicare or Medicaid assistance. We believe this requirement is met by referencing the attached 1115 Waiver Affiliation Agreement with Hidalgo County.
