The Urban County Program is requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of Peñitas. The proposed amendment is for Fiscal Years 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28 (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015) Work Plans. The amendment will add the 2014 and 2015 Street Improvement Project to all years to allow the expenditure of available funds for project completion. 

A Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at the Peñitas Public Library and citizen participation requirements have been met. The City of Peñitas approved the amendment as proposed for funding years 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28 (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015). All funding will be utilized for the two existing and already environmentally cleared Street Improvement Projects.

2014 Street Improvement Project includes:
Project consists of the construction of La Joya Avenue and Pike Avenue (Second section) in El Rio Subdivision including surrounding and abutting streets. Project includes installation of drainage lines, inlets, sidewalks, water line replacement with hydrants, conventional street lighting professional services, material testing fees, and advertisement fees as they pertain to project completion. Location: La Joya Avenue and Pike Avenue are located in El Rio Subdivision in Peñitas, Texas 78576.

2015 Street Improvement Project includes:
Project consists of the construction of Mesquite Avenue, including surrounding and abutting streets. Project includes installation of drainage lines, inlets, sidewalks, water line replacement with hydrants, conventional street lighting professional services, material testing fees, and advertisement fees as they pertain to project completion. Location: Mesquite Avenue,located in el Rios Subdivision in Peñitas, Texas 78576.
