Subject to HB 1295 Compliance, requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with 2GS, LLC dba Earthworks Enterprise in the amount of $184,171.00 (base bid). UCP Fiscal Years 26 & 27 (2013 - 2014) City of Edcouch Street Improvement funds will be utilized.

BACKGROUND

The Urban County Program has requested and received bids for the City of Edcouch – Amended Street Improvements project. Fulcrum Consulting Services prepared the specification packages and bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County – Purchasing Department on January 4, 2017. A total of seven (7) bids were received and after review, the project engineer recommended the second lowest qualified bidder 2GS, LLC dba Earthworks Enterprise. In addition, items were eliminated from this bid as it was deemed necessary to accommodate budgetary constraints. (See attached recommendation letter from the project engineer, bid tabulation sheet, contract, certificate of liability insurance and HB 1295 form).
