BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County received three video awards from the Texas Association of Telecommunication Officers and Advisors at its annual conference in November.
Over 200 entries were submitted from 22 jurisdictions across the state, and Hidalgo County was the only county in all Texas to be selected as a finalist. Hidalgo County received three 3rd place awards in the following categories:
- Overall Excellence in Programming
- Community Event Coverage - "2016 National Night Out"
- Public Service Announcement - "STOP! Illegal Dumping in Hidalgo County"
