CAPTION
Requesting approval of the Coordinated Entry policies & procedures developed for the County of Hidalgo.
BACKGROUND
The County Hidalgo is a recipient of the Emergency Solutions Grant program (ESG) and prior to implementing Coordinated Entry, we were required to submit a draft of our Local Coordinated Entry Policies and Procedures as a proposal to the Texas Balance of State Continuum of Care (TX BoS CoC). Our policies now meet the requirements listed in Notice CPD-17-01 and were approved by the TX BoS CoC on February 21, 2018.
Coordinated Entry (CE) is a process that facilitates access to all homeless designated resources, identifying and assessing the needs of persons experiencing a housing crisis, and referring clients to the most appropriate service strategy or housing intervention. The Texas Balance of State Continuum of Care’s (TX BoS CoC) is requesting Coordinated Entry policies & procedures be implemented in Hidalgo County. The policies will be revisited often and will be revised as necessary.
