“Subject to Compliance with HB 1295” the Urban County Program is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with 2GS, LLC dba Earthworks Enterprises, the recommended responsible bidder in the amount of $448,586.40 utilizing UCP funds from Fiscal Years 31 - 32 (2018- 2019) Palmview Street Improvement Funds.
BACKGROUND
The bid opening was held on April 1, 2020 and the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was AM Utilities and Construction LLC, however, the second lowest bidder is an Urban County Program Section 3 approved contractor. 2GS, LLC dba Earthworks Enterprises, accepted to match the lowest bid and therefore, is recommended by Hinojosa Engineering for the street improvements project. Project consists of street improvements within Greenland Subdivision in the City of Palmview. Please see attached letter of recommendation by the project engineer and contractor’s general liability insurance.
