Discussion, consideration, and approval to apply for the Border Security Enhancement Operations, (BSEO Operation Border Star V) grant to the Governor's Division of Emergency Management for fiscal year 2008 (grant period 2-17-08 to 8-15-08).
BACKGROUND
The Governor's Division of Emergency Management serves as the State's resource coordinating authority for continued participation in Border Security operations. No County cash match required.
The Operation Border Star V grant (BSEO) is a 6 month grant, which would provide 100% reimbursement to the county, with 80% of the grant amount up front and the remaining 20% post audit. Money received will pay for overtime salary, fringe benefits, and mileage. Grant period is from 2-17-08 to 8-15-08.
