1. Discussion, consideration, and approval to submit the Emergency Operations Plan forms as required by the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).
2. Authorization for the County Judge, as authorized official, to sign the Plan.
3. Authorization for Hidalgo County Emergency Management Coordinator, appropriate County Official and Department Head, to sign the emergency support function.

The Hidalgo County Emergency Operations Plan (E.O.P.) was last updated in 2016 and must be updated and resubmitted to the Texas Division of Emergency Management at least every (5) years. The E.O.P. consists of the Emergency Operations Plan and 15 emergency support functions which are assigned to the appropriate county officials and department heads for update, approval, and signature. This agenda item will streamline the E.O.P. approval process and allow for the support functions to be executed by the designated signatories as soon as the review and approval process is completed for each support function.
