Constable Pct. 5 - FY 2022 Body Worn Camera Grant Program (1284):
1. Authorization and approval to apply for the FY 2022 Body-Worn Camera Grant Program (Round 4) with the Office of the Governor Public Safety Office Criminal Justice Division (OOG-CJD) through e-grants.
2. Authorization for County Judge to e-sign application under e-grants as authorized official.
3. Approval of Resolution for the FY 2022 Body Worn Camera Grant Program to designate Judge Richard Cortez as grantee's authorized official and to sign all required documents. (Grant Period: 3-1-2022 to 2-28-2023).

BACKGROUND

FY 2022 Body-Worn Camera Grant Program; grant period is from 3.1.2022 to 2.28.2023, not to exceed one year.
Grant application deadline is 11.30.2021 @ 5 p.m. CST, grant requires a 25% cash match.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

No fiscal impact at this time. Submission of grant application only; FY 2022 Body-Worn Camera Grant program for Constable Pct. 5 requires a 25% cash match.

A new account no/program no. will be created by the Co. Auditor's Office, once grant is awarded by grantor, accepted by CC, certified by the Co. Auditor, and budget is established.

Pct. 5 Constable Office will need to request funds from DBM for cash match requirement, upon grant award.
