Requesting approval of a Public Purpose Declaration pursuant to Article 3, Section 52(a) of the Texas Constitution, to purchase promotional items as detailed in Exhibit "A" attached herein including, logo setup, printing cost, fees, and freight fees, [when/if applicable] with said items to be utilized in Pct's events as detailed herein under BACKGROUND.

The promotional items will be utilized for participation, attendance, or hosting public functions related to efforts in disseminating information of road conditions, closures, paving, drainage improvements, educational and health awareness, public safety services, and programs affecting the community. In addition, items will be used for hosting events, speaking events, presentations, meetings, ceremonies, and county-wide initiatives programs, which educate, inform, and encourage public involvement.  

All acquisition of promotional items and supplies will be through the requisition and purchase order process.
