“Subject to compliance with HB 1295” the Urban County Program is requesting approval of a best and final negotiated contract for Professional Engineering Services with SAMES, INC. in the amount of $22,250.00 utilizing CDBG FY 34 (2021) La Joya Street Improvements Funding and approval of Work Authorization No. 1.

BACKGROUND

On March 22, 2022, Commissioner’s Court ranked and approved contract negotiations with SAMES, INC., for Professional Engineering Services. Project consists of street paving (overlay) to include but not limited to the adjacent/abutting streets within the same general vicinity and related appurtenances. Other expenditures such as professional engineering service fees, geo-technical and construction material testing fees, etc. Location: 1. Garza St. (from N. 5th St. to Military Rd). See attached Contract, Exhibits, Work Authorization #1, Attachments, Certificate of Liability Insurance and HB1295 forms.

                         Contract Amount:   $ 22,250.00

                         Funds Available:      $ 2,207.80       2018  La Joya Street Improvements
