Constable Pct.3 STOP Truancy Program (1285):
1. Approval to renew Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Hidalgo County and La Joya ISD for the fiscal year 2024 (period of 9-1-2023 to 8-31-2024) in relation to the STOP Truancy Program with authority for County Judge, as authorized official, to execute agreement. 
2. Approval of certification of revenues, as certified by the Co. Auditor, and appropriation of the same.
3. Approval to continue payment of salaries for three (3) Deputy Constable positions getting paid from the Mission CISD Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), pending renewal of agreement for FY 2024. 


 

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement will fund a total of 1 deputy constable position salaries, allowances, & fringes in order to provide a school resource officer for the school district for FY 2024 (9-1-2023 to 8-31-2024)
La Joya ISD portion is 50% /County's portion is 50% (1 deputy constable)
The Mission CISD MOU will be presented to Commissioners Court in September 2023 after school board approval.  The next school board meeting is scheduled for 9-13-2023.  There are 3 deputy constables getting paid from the Mission CISD MOU.  Mission CISD will reimburse county 100% of actual costs associated to the 3 positions assigned.
