Discussion and approval to execute a dealer deputy agreement between the County of Hidalgo and Payne Imports LLC DBA Payne Pre-Owned Edinburg GDN P152843 & Payne Pre-Owned McAllen, Payne Pre-Owned McColl GDN P133761.  Dealer desires to act as an agent of the Tax Assessor Collector in the issuance of motor vehicle registration stickers, license plates and in the application for vehicle titles.  This agreement is subject to the Dealer Deputy providing a surety bond in an amount as determined by the County Tax Assessor-Collector in accordance with applicable law.

Payne Imports LLC requested consideration to be an authorized Dealer Deputy for Hidalgo County.   Payne Imports LLC DBA Payne Pre-Owned Edinburg & Payne Pre-Owned McAllen, Payne Pre-Owned McColl agreed to comply with the requirements of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles WebDealer system.  The Dealer Deputies will furnish and maintain any necessary equipment.  Transportation Code Sec 520.0071 DEPUTIES states a county assessor-collector, with the approval of the commissioners court of the county, may deputize an individual or business entity to perform titling and registration services in accordance with rules prescribed and adopted in the Texas Administrative Code Title 43 Part 10 Chapter 217 Subchapter H
