NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners' Court will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. 1. Approval to delete one (1) regular part-time Criminal Investigator position, slot no. 0059, budgeted salary $23,296.00.
2. Approval to create one (1) regular full-time Assistant District Attorney, slot no. 0060, at $7,750.00 for cost allocation of state awarded supplement for slot no. 001 in the DA Border Prosecution program (fund 1281)
3. Approval to create one (1) regular full-time Legal Assistant position, slot no. 0061, at $5,000.00 for cost allocation of state awarded supplement for slot no. 002 in the DA Border Prosecution program (fund 1281).

The Urban County Program on behalf of Hidalgo County Precinct No. 3, is requesting approval and award of best and final negotiated contract with Javier Hinojosa Engineering in the amount of $42,714.00 utilizing CDBG-R Year 22 (2009) Substantial Amendment for Hidalgo County Precinct #3 – Drainage Improvement Project.
 
B.
The Urban County Program, on behalf of Hidalgo County Precinct No. 3, is requesting approval and award of best and final negotiated contract with Javier Hinojosa Engineering (highest ranked firm), in the amount of $107,156.88 utilizing Urban County Program Year 22 (2009) Precinct No. 3 Street Improvement funds.
 
C.
The Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Alton, is requesting approval and award of best and final negotiated contract with Javier Hinojosa Engineering in the amount of $15,100.00 utilizing CDBG Year 22 (2009) Street Improvements funds.
 
D.
Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Mercedes is requesting authority to purchase Fire Station Equipment (complete bunker gear sets) for the Mercedes Volunteer Fire Department through Hidalgo County's membership and participation with Buy Board, approved vendor Dooley Tackaberry (contract #284-08) in the amount of $5,322.30 (quote attached hereto) to include fees and discounts as requested by the City of Mercedes for the Fire Department City of Mercedes UCP Year 22 (2009) Fire Station Equipment funds will be utilized.
 
E.
Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Hidalgo is requesting authority to purchase a Pierce 2010 Freightliner Tanker through Hidalgo County's membership and participation with Buy Board (Texas Association of School Boards) approved vendor Siddons Fire Apparatus, Inc. (contract # 245-06) in the amount of $175,000.00 (quote attached hereto) to include fees and accessories as requested.  City of Hidalgo UCP Year 22 (2009) Fire Station Equipment funds will be utilized.
