NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

A. Requesting approval of "Pool" of pre-qualified firms submitting Statements of Qualifications for ranking on an "As Needed Basis" per project by the Hidalgo County Drainage District No.1 for projects requiring said services as set forth in the requirements stated in the District's Request for Qualifications packet for the following Professional Services:
1. RFQ No. 11-003-02-09 "Professional Engineering Services"
2. RFQ No. 11-004-02-09 "Real Estate Appraisers & Surveyors"
B. Requesting approval to be included and to participate in Hidalgo County's Arbitrage Calculation Services. (Approved by Hidalgo County Commissioner's Court on February 8, 2011)

A. Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements under Water Code, Section 49.057, (a) & (d) section "a professional service" for the "Provision of legal services/representation in connection with litigation".
