NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Request authoriztion to advertise for RFQ'S for legal services as it relates to FEMA & IBCW.

A. Requesting approval to advertise and approval of draft specifications as attached hereto for: " Pipes-Reinforced Concrete, Polyethylene, Heavy Wall Concrete, Corrugated PVC & Steel Storm Pipes" Project.
B. Request approval to extend bid opening date from ( March 21, 2007 to April 4, 2007) for " Independent Financial Audit Services".
C. Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements under the Texas Water Code, Section 49.057 a professional service (engineering services) in connection with: Geo Technical Services for Hidalgo County Master Drain System Phase II.
D. Ranking/Selection of a firm ( at least 3 firms graded & scored from the District's approved "pool" of Engineers / Firms) with authority to negotiate Geo Technical Services with the No. 1 ranked / selected firm of ____________ for the provision of Engineering Services for Geo Technical Services for Hidalgo County Master Drain System Phase II.
