NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:
I. Roll call and establish quorum
II. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting of July 28, 2017.
III. Discussion and possible action for the selection of a Public Official Representative
IV. Update of 2018 CSA Gala
V. Authorization to apply for 2018-2019 Texas Veterans Commission General Assistance Grant.
VI. 2018 Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Community Action Plan (CAP) and Budget.
a. Public hearing regarding the proposed 2018 CSBG CAP plan and budget.
b. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to recommend approval of the 2018 (CSBG) (CAP) plan and budget.
VII. Recommend to approve 2017 CSBG amendment to budget to recognize final award amount and include the emergency service unit.
VIII. Authorization to transfer funds from:
a. Payroll account to local fund in the amount of $1,530.30.
b. Retirement account to local fund in the amount of $257.19.
c. Texas Gas account to local fund in the amount of $11,889.67.
IX. Acknowledgement of Commissioners Court action taken on September 12, 2017.
a. Adopt Executive Directors succession plan in accordance to CSBG organizational standards.
b. Adopt Executive Directors evaluation and compensation in accordance to CSBG organizational standards.
X. Acknowledge funding received from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
