NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:
I. Roll call and establish quorum
II. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting of January 19, 2018 and February 16, 2018.
III. Report, discussion, and update regarding management decision letter for Desk Review for Fiscal Year End 12/31/2016 from Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, dated March 1, 2018 Closed.
IV. Report regarding upcoming elections for the Low Income Representative for District 3. Present application and ad to be placed in The Monitor.
V. Discussion and possible selection of candidates for:
A. Public Official Representative
B. Private Interest Group as recommended by Sub-Committee
VI. Discussion consideration and possible action to recommend submission of application to the Corporation for National and Community Service for the Foster Grandparents Program and Senior Companion Program.
VII. Update from Community Needs Assessment Committee.
VIII. Executive Director's Report
A. Client Appreciation Day
B. Present client survey results for February 2018.
C. Provide board members programmatic reports for the month of February 2018 for current programs.
D. Surveys to be conducted for the Community Needs Assessment
E. Deadline for Adult Daycares to submit applications April 13th.2018 South Texas All Hazard Conference March 28th & 29th at the McAllen Convention Center.
F. TDHCA onsite April 9th at 9:00AM to discuss CSA's current Case Management Program.
G. Direct Energy Neighbor to Neighbor check presentation April 24th at Commissioners Court.
H. 2018 TACAA Conference May 9th thru 11th in San Antonio.
I. CAPLAW Conference in Albuquerque New Mexico June 20th – 22nd. Registration to be completed by April 20th.
J. Community Action Partnership Convention on August 28th thru 31st in Denver, Colorado.
