NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:
I. Roll call and establish quorum
II. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting of March 23, 2018.
III. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on April 3, 2018 for the amendment No. 6 to the FY 2017 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) contract #58180002784 with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, with authorization for Jaime Longoria to electronically sign any and all pertinent documents.
IV. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on April 3, 2018 for FY 2018 Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Discretionary contract #61180002912 with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in the amount of $21,558.00, with authorization for Jaime Longoria to electronically sign any and all pertinent documents.
V. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on April 3, 2018 for CSA to apply for the Superior HealthPlan Grant Program in the amount of $5,000 that is focused in promoting the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
VI. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to adopt Customer Satisfaction Policy.
VII. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to recommend acceptance and allocate $36,000 from Direct Energy to the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund.
VIII. Discussion regarding Low Income Representative for District 3.
IX. Discussion regarding upcoming public forums for the purpose of soliciting input for the 2018 Community Needs Assessment.
X. Discussion and possible action to recommend acceptance of $5,000 grant from Superior HealthPlan for the purpose of purchasing and distribution of smoke detectors in the La Blanca, Edcouch area.
XI. Executive Director's Report
A. Present client survey results for March 2018.
B. Provide board members programmatic reports for the month of March 2018 for current programs.
C. Status on Community Needs Assessment
D. Satellite Office PCT. 2 Alamo Community Center 1429 S. Tower Road Alamo, TX 78516
E. Direct Energy Neighbor to Neighbor check presentation April 24th at Commissioners Court in the amount of $453,595. The amount listed is for the combined amount provided to the residents of Hidalgo County over the last 5 years.
