NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:
I. Roll call and establish quorum
II. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting of April 20, 2018.
III. Welcome and seating of Advisory Board Member Gerardo Garza for Private Interest Group.
IV. Discussion and possible action to recommend opening four new checking accounts with Lone Star National Bank to establish accountability for each of the following grants: Community Service Block Grant (CSBG), Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP), Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Private Funds, with authorization for Judge Ramon Garcia and Jaime Longoria to sign any and all pertinent documents.
V. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to recommend approval of the 2018 Community Needs Assessment.
VI. Discussion regarding possible funding increase for Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) for direct services.
VII. Discussion regarding funding and procedure for Texas Veterans Commission Grant Bravo Zulu for FY 2018-2019.
VIII. Executive Director's Report
A. Present client survey results for April 2018.
B. Provide board members programmatic reports for the month of April 2018 for current programs.
C. 2017 Audit in progress
