NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551.045 (b)(1)(2), Texas Government Code, that an EMERGENCY MEETING (an urgent public necessity exists and immediate action is requested of the District due to emergency repair of weir structure) of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

A. Presentation for discussion, consideration and action (if applicable or necessary) including, but not limited to, the following: Repair, Reconstruction or Construction of the Weir Control Structure on the Main Flood Water Channel of Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 due to collapse of structure;
B. Requesting exemption from competitve bidding requirements under Texas Local Government Code, Chapter/Section 262.024 (a)(2) an item necessary to preserve or protect the public health and safety of the county; and/or 262.024 (a)(3) an item necessary because of unforeseen damange to public property due to the collapse of the Weir Control Structure on the Main Flood Water Channel of Hidalgo County Drainage District #1;
C. Requesting authority and approval to contract for, including, but not limited to, the following:
1. Repair of the Weir Control Structure with ______________________________,
