NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

  1. Roll call and establish quorum
 
  1. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting of January 25, 2018.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration and possible approval to recommend a schedule for dates to serve residents of Hidalgo County with CEAP services at the Precinct Offices.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and possible action for board members to recommend public officials to fill 3 vacancies for public official members on Community Action Advisory Board (CAAB) pursuant to Article II Section 2.A of the CAAB By-Laws.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to entertain a vote related to recommendations made by CAAB to fill vacancies for Public Official Members on CAAB for:
  1. Public Official Vacant Position #1
  2. Public Official Vacant Position #2
  3. Public Official Vacant Positions #3
  1. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to recommend restructuring of Senior Corp Program with Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) covering 80%, Senior Companion Program 10%, and Foster Grandparents Program 10%, pending Corporation for National and Community Service approval.
 
  1. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on February 12, 2019 to grant CSA authorization to approve contract No. 58190002984 in the amount of $6,153,817.00 with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program Year 2019 with authorization for Jaime Longoria to electronically sign any and all pertinent documents.
 
  1. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on February 12, 2019 to allow CSA to submit response to Management Decision Letter for Single Audit Report for Fiscal Year Ended 12/31/2017 addressed to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs with authorization for reimbursement to be made to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in the amount of $2,160.69 to be paid from HCCSA's Local Funds Account.
 
  1. Fiscal policy committee report.
 
  1. Executive Director's Report
  1. Present client survey results for CSA and Bravo Zulu for January 2018.  
  2. Provide board members programmatic and outcomes reports for the month of January 2018 for current programs.
  3. Senior Corps update for Foster Grandparent Program and Senior Companion Program. 
  4. Gala to honor students that have transitioned out of poverty
