NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

  1. Roll call and establish quorum
 
  1. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting of March 29, 2019.
 
  1. Discussion and possible action to accept results of the April 20, 2019 elections for Low Income Representative for District One.
 
  1. Authorization to seat Oralia Salinas as the Low-Income Representative for District One, for a second three-year term to expire on April 2022.
 
  1. Discussion and possible action to seat the following board members as designees of the following elected officials.
 
  1. Mayor Dr. Armando O'Caña- Ms. Marla Meza- City of Mission
  2. Mayr Dr. Ambrosio Hernandez- Mr. Alex Meade-City of Pharr
 
  1. Discussion consideration and possible action to adopt vehicle use policy.
 
  1. Discussion regarding the use of employee evaluation form.
 
  1. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on April 2, 2019 to grant CSA authorization to approve the FY 2019 Community Service Block Grant Program (CSBG) Discretionary Contract No. 61190003089 in the amount of $23,968.00 with authorization for Jaime Longoria to electronically sign any and all pertinent documents.
 
  1. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on April 23, 2019 for correction to Commissioners Court agenda item #69413 for Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Contract No. 61180002861 budget amendment for program year 2018.
 
  1. Ratify action of Commissioners Court on April 23, 2019 for amendment to the FY 2018 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) contract No. 58180002784 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community
    Executive Director's Report with authorization for Jaime Longoria to sign any and all pertinent documents.
 
  1. Ratify action of Commissioner Court on April 23, 2019 to adopt the 2019 Senior Corp. Program, By-Laws.
 
  1. Report and update regarding program service delivery model in use for PY 2019.
 
  1. Discussion regarding replenishment of Local Fund.
 
  1. Executive Director Report
  1. Present client survey results for CSA and Bravo Zulu for March 2019.     
  2. Provide board members programmatic and outcomes reports for the month of March 2019 for current programs.
  3. Applications received for District 1 elections
  4. Recommendation for 2019-2020 Texas Veterans Commission General Assistance Grant
  5. 2019 TACAA Conference Austin TX May 8th – 10th
  6. Advisory Board Retreat Proposed Date Saturday June 29th 8:30AM to 3:00PM
